I am a year 12 student in the Building Academy at Bay of Islands College in Kawakawa, New Zealand. My blog is a reflection of my learning and professional work experience.
This poem give mixed feelings first I feel proud that I had some great granduncles that fought for our freedom, all my grand uncles did survive and came home. But i do feel sad that they had to see a lot of horrible things and to lose some friends.
That is a very brave thing that your great uncles did. You must be very proud that they risked their lives for our freedom. Are they related from your Mum or Dad's side of the family?
War is a horrible thing and I wish no one had to feel the pain that war can bring, however I am very grateful for your great uncles and everyone else that risked their lives.
