I think most Kiwi kids had Hairy Maclary stories read to them growing up. They are such great books! My favourite book was Slinky Malinki Opens the Door. Its about Slinky Malinki and Stickybeak Sid and their adventures of opening every door in the house and causing chaos in every room they visit!
